Who We Are

The GFLBC & Norcon partnership provides civil, clearing, access matting and concrete services to the oil, gas, industrial and heavy civil industries in Western Canada. These services include earthmoving, tree clearing, access solutions, access matting, concrete preparation and placement and general contracting services.

Our primary focus is to create economic opportunities for the Whitefish Lake First Nation Community in partnership with Norcon. Our secondary focus is to create economic opportunities for surrounding Indigenous and local communities.

Equipment Fleet

Equipment

We operate an extensive fleet with over 400 pieces of heavy construction equipment. Equipment includes a wide range of dozers, excavators, rock trucks, scrapers and a variety of on highway dump trucks and various support equipment including graders, packers, skid steers and loaders. We also have bunchers, skidders, processors and mulchers for forestry work.

Maintenance

 

We have a full-services department dedicated to ensuring our equipment is ready for our clients needs. This includes full shop and laydowns in Wetaskawin, Edmonton, Drayton Valley and Grande Prairie. Our equipment fleet is mostly new model to help keep downtime to a minimum to deliver quality work to our clients.

 

Machine Control

 

We run machine control for our equipment when needed. Utilizing machine control allows grade to be cut right the first time every time and reduces the amount of field layout and personnel required on the ground. We have trained employees on our projects able to program, design and operate this equipment effectively to boost on site production.
